Mario E. Ramos, DMD
Pediatric Dentistry
Mario E. Ramos, D.M.D., is a Board Certified
Pediatric Dentist and a graduate of UMDNJ-New Jersey Dental School, and
the Harvard School of Dental Medicine- Boston’s Children’s Hospital, where
he received his Pediatric Dental specialty training. Dr. Ramos is a
Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatric Dentistry at the New Jersey
Dental School for the past 14 years. He holds a staff position at
University Hospital, Newark. He is the Chairman of the Council on
Continuing Education for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. He
is a Past President of the National Hispanic Dental Association. Dr.
Ramos is founder and Director of the “Smiles With Pride” project which
provides dental care to homeless children. Dr. Ramos has lectured on a
variety of Pediatric Dental topics both nationally and internationally.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, New Jersey Dental
Association, Bergen County Dental Society, American Academy of Pediatric
Dentistry, American Board of Pediatric Dentistry College of Diplomates,
New Jersey Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Hispanic Dental Association,
and the Association of Public Health Dentistry. Dr. Ramos was chosen
by his peers as a Top Dentist in Pediatric Dentistry in New Jersey Monthly
Magazine in July 2009. He was the only Pediatric Dentist chosen in Bergen
County.
He is a lifelong resident of New Jersey and
is fluent in Spanish.

Narmatha Sinnarajah, DDS
Pediatric Dentistry
Narmatha Sinnarajah, D.D.S., is a Board
Certified Pediatric Dentist who received her Bachelor of Science Degree
from the University of Toronto, where she graduated with Honors with High
Distinction. She then went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Surgery
degree from Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery. She
graduated with an award in leadership from the New York State Dental
Association and an award of divisional excellence in Pediatric Dentistry.
She received her specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at Columbia
University / New York Presbyterian Hospital. She currently holds a
position as an Associate Clinical Professor of Pediatric Dentistry at
Columbia University. She is a member of the American Dental Association,
New Jersey Dental Association, Bergen County Dental Association, American
Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the New Jersey Academy of Pediatric
Dentistry. Dr. Sinnarajah is fluent in Dutch and Tamil.

Brian No, DDS
Pediatric Dentistry
Brian No, D.D.S. is a Board Certified
Pediatric Dentist who received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the
University of California at Berkeley. While at Berkeley, Dr. No became
interested in dentistry as a volunteer helping to provide dental care to
the underserved population at the Berkeley Free Clinic. He graduated from
Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery where he received
his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. He then went on to complete his
pediatric specialty training at Montefiore Hospital in association with
the Albert Einstein School of Medicine. He received training in all
aspects of pediatric dentistry including advanced behavior management
techniques and treating patients with special needs. He is also a member
of the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Pediatric
Dentistry.

Carmine C. Russo, DMD
Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics
Carmine C. Russo, D.M.D., M.S., graduated
with honors from Rutgers University earning a Bachelor of Arts degree.
He was accepted into dental school at UMDNJ-NJ Dental School and graduated
Valedictorian of his dental class. His achievements were recognized by
several academic fraternal societies which gave him awards in excellence
and scholarship. In his spare time, he also completed an Oral Surgery
Externship at University Hospital in Newark. Dr. Russo pursued his
post-doctoral studies at UMDNJ-NJ Dental School, earning Certification in
Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. He also achieved Basic and
Advanced Certifications in the Diagnosis, Management and Treatment of
Temporomandibular Joint Disorders (TMJ) and Orofacial Pain, while
obtaining a Master’s of Science in Oral Biology from the UMDNJ-Graduate
School of Biomedical Science. Dr. Russo successfully completed the
requirements of the Northeast Regional Dental Board, Florida Dental Board
and is American Board of Orthodontics Board Eligible. He belongs to the
American Dental Association, New Jersey Dental Association, Bergen County
Dental Society, New Jersey Association of Orthodontists, Middle Atlantic
Society of Orthodontists, American Association of Orthodontists, and the
World Federation of Orthodontists. He was a clinical Instructor of
Orthodontics at UMDNJ-NJ Dental School. Dr. Russo is a lifelong resident
of New Jersey, and is fluent in Italian and Spanish.

Dan Akkaway, DDS
Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics
Dan Akkaway, D.D.S., earned his dental
degree from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. While at
Columbia, he was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the National Dental
Honor Society. Upon graduation, Dr. Akkaway was the Alpha Omega Award
recipient for graduating first in his class. Subsequently, he completed a
General Dentistry Residency at Sepulveda VA Medical Center in Los Angeles,
California. Dr. Akkaway then returned to New York to complete his
training in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at St. Barnabas
Hospital. Dr. Akkaway is well trained in all aspects of Orthodontics. He
ensures that he is at the forefront of new orthodontic techniques with
extensive continuing education. Dr. Akkaway’s special interests include
implant-assisted movement of teeth, cosmetic alternatives to traditional
braces such as Invisalign, and Orthognathic surgery to correct skeletal
jaw imbalances. Dr. Akkaway grew up in New Jersey where he now resides
with his wife Jennifer and daughter Sofia. He is excited to be a part of
the Midland Park Pediatric Dental team and looks forward to building
trusting relationships with his patients while providing orthodontic care
in a warm and friendly environment.
